Why Bother?
RCD’s are to be tested 6 monthly.
When carrying out EICR’s we often come across faulty RCD’s that are jammed because they have never been tested, making this an important check for electrical safety.
Although this does not eliminate your need to air caution when dealing with your electrical system it is an effective way of managing it between more complex EICR’s.
